Being a Vietnam vet with lymphoma I’ve got hours and hours of time to spend on things that are often saved for old age retirement, so when Aids was killing by the numbers, I went comfortably where death looms and have a meaningful conversation with Joe one day and he is dead the next, that’s similar to the soldiers I watch die and there were no tears were shed when my narcissistic parents died while most people ache. Strange gifts from strange places.

Now I’m old and watching my beloved nation die, with no help in sight except for the change of heart people will experience when ww3 strikes. Then we will return again to the human understanding of just after the signing of the Japanese surrender, then we will start making the same mistakes all over again. Recycling appears to be a human gift.
